Once Upon a Dance
After School Program
A 6-12 week-long after-school program in the LA area that teaches dance to children from any level of dance background.
With the goal to maintain a level of sophisticated dance technique from various dances, we also use dance as a vehicle for self-discovery, teamwork, expression, and storytelling. The students are encouraged to contribute their own creative input with choices of theme, lyrics, and choreography. The end of the program will result in a performance for family and friends.

Featured class
A Dance Story...
A unique dance class with storytelling and voice-over work in focus!
While studying mainly jazz and lyrical, the students explore a specific theme that they create their own narrative about. Past themes have been: Popularity, A Letter to My Sister, A Trip Around the World, and Social Media. We record and choreograph a gorgeous dance story that the students help create. The students learn technique, teamwork, and expression while designing an imaginative medley to perform at the end of the session.
